Using my Kenwood TH-F7 I made a nice QSO with Chris M3XLG from The Craven Radio Amateur Group (C.R.A.G) whilst walking across the North Yorkshire Moors at 1165 feet above sea level (ASL). We were both operating QRP at the time

  • Nice radio, I have just bought one of these on Monday 28-Feb-2011 and hoping to have a lot of fun with it, in the coming months, after putting in all the 2m and 70cm frequencies, I took it to Barr Beacon to try it out, I am very impressed with its performance and the battery lasts for ages before it needs a recharge, I hope to work you sometime Simon handheld to handheld, 73 ..._._ ..

  • @markadoglet Hi Mark, I am sure by know you have made lots of QSO with your new hand held. I have been using mine for at least 5 years with the same battery, cracking little rig 10 out of 10. I got a dualband diamond antenna which out performs its original rubber duck. Check out some of my satellite videos where i am outside working DX on the same handheld.

Hope to hear you soon G L and 73 Simon

  • your poor puppy is saying " sign with this dude already . go QRT man , pull the big switch, whatever , just take me for a walk already .I'm a dog." LOL hi hi

  • If you have passed the Exam, a licence is free for life these days on line at Ofcom. However if you have not they take great pleasure in fines of much more than 15 quid.

  • pretty sad u need to have a damn license for this i have 2 radios given to me and to pay £15 i think will be a waste of money!

  • Tnx again Mick, Most of my original vids are on my youtube channel page. The odd vid got me into some strife regarding the music being copy righted ,so I wiped the offending ones. ;-( Some folks just love flagging them up, but it takes a lot more than that to piss a Yorkshire Man off LoL
