What I will wrrite is not something to put down the horror of west allies but every time I C how much propaganda is around the west front I ask myself why is there nothing about the fight in Alps? more than million death - 21 nations in that mesacare and no word about it. Makes mi wonder - are we lesser ppl?
@demonhorse103 if you mean the song from 3:49 - 4:58, it's called the Ode to Newfoundland. She even says the name b4 she sings it. It was the national anthem of Newfoundland b4 it joined Canada. Now it is just a....I'm not sure how to describe it but I'd say a traditional/patriotic song for the Newfies.
actually, the Newfoundlanders were massacred by the German machine guns BEFORE they reached the Allied first line. Just a few one came as far as to the German wire.
Another little thing to point out: The communication lines were blocked by the casualties, so the Newfoundlanders went over the top, and had to cross open country before ven reaching their own frontline. Several were killed before they even reached the no-man's land.
@BothtaweeKelly i meant the song playing in the beggining while the germans are cutting down the newfoundlanders
