I do believe vinyl is alot warmer sounding but the early 80's cd decks were very good in creating almost a vinyl experience. Vinyl is alot of work to maintain, it requires a room to store plus its not really ideal for parties whereas digital is more effect in the real world
I often listen to vinyl on a home-made record player, I say "home-made" because it's I mostly cobbled it together from bits and pieces of other record players, but sounds great.
