  • on a cope -and - stick door, why make the cope before stick?

  • Good question. By coping 1 end first, you are able to avoid tearout because the edge is supported with a backer block. If done correctly, the second cope will be properly oriented to avoid tearout.

If you don't cope one end prior to sticking, then you have to make a mating filler strip to avoid tearout.

  • @johnboat8 I can see a DE-STA-CO hold down clamp but I don't think they make the complete sled. Hey PMolzahn who makes the sled and where can I get one...?
