Hit song from 1957 recorded in black and white with authentic sound. From "Tommy Steele Story" film, but discovered on an old VHS tape. UPDATE - See later "Freight Train Supplement" by Balmesh for some stills from the set.

  • Love skiffle, and I love Nancy Whiskey! Please post more of her, if possible??

  • to luckybriaN100

Agree it's great, but I haven't any more and anyway YouTube already dislike it because someone in Germany has a copyright on it? Or something.

  • Best version of this song even though Rusty Draper had the biggest hit(#6) in the US. I think the reason was that Rusty was on Mercury and Nancy was on a small Georgia label called Chic and she had less distribution and promotion.

  • To Dickneeds

I have never heard of Rusty Draper or his version so I cannot tell. Was his version done in skiffle style like Nancy?

  • Why don't they make music like this anymore? I'm a teenager and I still fin this music entertaining and fun. Nowadays its just 'hip-hop' and rap, but that isn't music; its just some computer generated beat-box dung with no real lyrics and no real story, unlike Skiffle and early rock and roll (go Elvis!) and jazz. This kind of music relaxes the mind, instead of trying to permanently damage your ear drums.
