Ubuntu + Beryl + Intel + AIGLX

This is my first video here, sorry if it is too slow, boring and/or it does not have any music.

This is a video of Beryl running in my old laptop. A compaq presario 2200LA. Notice it is not even Vista Capable. It runs slow because the desktop recorder ate too much CPU. My computer has 768 MB RAM Intel Celeron Processor @ 1.40 GHz, Intel 855GM 3D card and the Linux partition is only 20GB.

Beryl is no longer under development. It has turned into a new project called compiz fusion. Ubuntu 7.10 has already compiz fusion installed. If you have any other distro go to compiz-fusion dot org and look for the instructions to install it for your distro.

Hurrah! I have a intel 945GM graphics so this might work, unlike Ubuntu, which didn't work very well.

I found the skydome at beryl-themes dot org its name is "Dia Sombrio" and the wallpaper is available at gnome-look dot org

your ram , cpu and gpu is exactly the same as mine!

compiz works good for me except the animations and water don't work.

exect mine is a Packard bell

i have the same specs only with a 1.30 centrino.

i also have the same graphics and and ubuntu but compiz aka beryl doesnt work well.

hey dude i have intel VIDEO card too but .... i have no IDEA how to PROPERLY install beryl on there so would you mind sending me the link to the video or the tutorial about how to install beryl on Intel video card?
