a tour inside Pruitt-Igoe, urban forest

first, the audio is terrible in this video. I'm still learning how to use this camera. I think a little plastic tab on the lanyard was tapping on the camera body the whole time. I don't say much of interest at all in this segment, so I recommend just turning down the volume.

second, pruitt igoe was a housing project built in the early 50s and torn down only 18 years later. then, they apparently just fenced a big portion of it up and refrained from mowing it. so in the 36 or so years since then, it has grown into this wonder.

This is real surreal...didn't you feel scared? I love secret places like this...everything will be ruins one day and areas like this are premonitions of what will come. Haunting and beautiful at the same time.

What a shame that so many of these types of places did not succeed... sad they don't put tiny houses on this beautiful land and teach people to garden and raise chickens or something

i'd pay for a lamp post from pruitt igoe. what a shame this project didn't work,utopia it wasn't. a thing of marvel it was. so many beloved and sad times spent here.

Interesting idea could be to turn it into a Walking/Bicycling park. Wow it reminds me of Pripyat. You'd never guess it's near a major city. Is it to safe to walk around?
