@theantiredneck Well yeah, Hueys aren't exactly cutting edge helicopter tech.. More like tough old work horses. Certainly not "high performance" like the red bull chopper. And Yeah, those 3d rc helicos are incredible, but have you seen some of the earlier footage of those? I have, and their capabilities have been hard earned through many revisions after failures.

That sounds like a bad design mechanically speaking, any high performance helicopter that can perform in an idle up state and roll over in any axis doesn't have that problem it may have been true in the past! Ever seen the redbull heli flip over and roll it most certainly unloads the rotor and reaches maximum pitch and cyclic throws at all G loads, ever watch 3d r/c helicopters just think of the dynamics placed on those machines and they don't have that issue!

I know now that FA systems don't bump. should have known that then. Believe it or not, i do have a commercial ticket in swing wing aircraft. Thanks for all the help!!

@IRIQUOIS227 With a fully-articulated rotor, each blade has its own flapping hinge (instead of 1 central flapping-hub), with a certain offset (hinge-offset) from the mast:

Since the blade ( ------ ) flaps around its own flapping-hinge ( o ), it or its hinge can never hit the mast. ( -|- )
Therefore a F.A.-rotor is not sensitive for mastbumping.
