Demi heard her name called, the voice was familiar but it was not Joes. So she looked around to see who it was. It was Taylor, standing nearby next to the cypress tress.

"Taylor?!" She said standing up and hugs him.

"What are you doing here?" Both of them said at the said time and laughed at themselves.

"What are you doing here?" Taylor asked her.

"I'm studying here. How about you?"

"Im in a students exchanged program, so I used the opportunity to visit Madrid before starting the college tomorrow." He explained. “"Wheres Joe?”"

"“Hes umm, hes—--"“ Demi turns to look for Joe.

"“Hey."” Joe hugs Demis waist backwards and kiss her shoulder. He smiles at Taylor. “"Whaddup.”"

"“When did you arrive?”"

"“Last night. You guys on vacation or what?”"

"“Study.”"

“"Oh, great.”"

“"Wait, you guys know you both will meet here?”" Demi ask turning her head to Joe.

Joe smiles and nods.

"“Why didn’t you tell me?”"

"“Surprise.”"

Taylor arrived five minutes earlier than the agreed time for dinner. The servants opened the door for him and led him to the living room. He sat down and looked at the interior of Joe and Demis apartment. It looks comfortable and homey. There were framed pictures on the console near the entrance of the living room. Taylor went to look at the pictures. There were pictures of family and friends. Demis family and so does Joes. There were also pictures of Jemis wedding day, not the grand wedding, but the one at Macau where Demi was wearing a simple white gown and wreath on her head. They looked so happy, I can tell, Taylor thought. There were a lot of pictures hanging included when they were kissing at the water stream infront of the church. But theres this one picture- a huge one- which is when Demi and Joe make a peace sign infront of the water stream. Taylor chuckles.

“"Stop staring.”"

Taylor turns around at the familiar voice. "“Wow, my cold-blooded cousin can be this cute? Really?”"

Joe smiles at him.“ "Lets go. Dinners ready.”"

All throughout the dinner, Demi was her bubbly self. She kept on asking how was Taylor, how his mother was, and how London was. Taylor would answer her queries and tell stories of how he was doing. Joe would comment occasionally, but his comments were mostly directed to Demi, giving the impression that his attention was only on her - making sure that she has enough food on her plate, telling her to slow down with the talking and the eating. Demi on the other hand was also very attentive on him. She would put food on his plate, asking him if he wants some more, and if he likes the taste.

Taylor noticed all these between the couple. He noticed that something that wasn't present before was now very much alive between them. Is this what they call love? He thought. He never saw a couple so in love like Joe and Demi. They were both glowing and their eyes have this twinkle in them whenever they look at each other.

"We will serve the dessert." The servants put 3 plate of puddings on the table.

"You look happy."

After dinner, Joe and Taylor went to the balcony. Demi was in the kitchen helping the servants with the dishes.

"Kinda." Joe said smiling. "How about you?"

"I just now realized that she was willing to give you all her bright self."

"You see, that's the difference between us, I never asked for it." Joe said.

"But you also gave that warmth in you to her. I see that she is very happy, good job man." Taylor chuckles and looked at who was smiling at him.

After helping at the kitchen, Demi went to look for Joe and Taylor. She passed by the living room and saw them at the balcony, talking.

“"What are you talking about?”"
