They have just found that embryonic stem cell therapy is working for those with macular degeneration. It was simply unconscionable what the supposed Christian George W. Bush did for petty political partisan points in Aug. 2001.

and aborted fetuses can also be used for stem cell research
-
I say ignore the fools who reject embryonic stem cell research.
-
@AdultStemCellsOnline Why should we limit ourselves? We should research all forms of stem cells.
-
Regardless of what political view you have Stemgevity works and is available on line.

I really don't see why people make such a big fuss about stem cell research. The government should fund this research so that evil corporations don't take hold of patents on cures for diseases.

Fucking republicans. They have already decided that it is moral to kill babies in the Middle East, but show some squeamishness about destroying human embryos in a petri dish. Hell, man, once you decide to become a child-killer, their ages no longer matter. Or the numbers.

@PeculiarPaul It's the act of human ownership that I question. Does a corporation have the right to own and misuse another living human with the expressed intent of converting said human into a marketable commodity?

Is it the fault of the medical researcher that his work is made harder by them being thrown away instead of put to use or is it the fault of the people the research could help.
Yes, science does. But they are not "living" at the moment of conception - this is religious dualism. It is archaic, and bluntly, stupid. Revert to Sam Harris' argument for Stem Cell research (just put it in the search bar - "Sam Harris Stem Cell Research" - and you will get a beautiful argument against religious dualism and for the advocation of Stem Cell research. It is the most promising medicinal field in the history of medicine - anyone who thinks otherwise is a moron or a Catholic.

No they're not. The embryos aren't donated unless the owner (usually the couple that had them created) specifically says they can be. Looks like YOU'RE the ignorant one here.
