You are speaking in Tales terms here. There isn't Tales elements in Disgaea so I can't really compare which is why I said it depends. :P Although I guess you can say that getting items of a certain rarity is pretty boring then.
It might help if you look up a video but try to avoid spoilers because the game is too funny to worth spoiling.

Boring for me is basically traveling in RPG games alot and farming. I'm fine with grinding most of the time because you still apply yourself to battle.

Post game does involve a lot of grinding, I'll say that much but this is where the definition comes in.

Well if it wastes time that includes fun rather than long and boring things to do then I'm fine with that.

Well the others are turn based but not as monotonous as Final Fantasy IMO. Action commands in Mario and uber damage and strategy in Disgaea. Although I should warn you that Disgaea can really eat away a lot of your time. :P

You seem to already know about Kingdom Hearts so others on my list would include Disgaea and the World Ends With You. There's also the Paper Mario and Mario and Luigi series if you're interested but I digress.
