@themifster Not all windows can be locked. Not all windows slide. If glass is broken, there are usually other sensors noticing that, most complete systems has something like that. Works pretty much like car alarms.

But i agree, if your lock your windows... Useless...

Can't you just break the glass? Also if you lock the window then you can't slide it open anyway so this device is rendered useless if you just lock your windows.
