Also wanted to note that Jesus said there would be false religions and even false "Christs". He said that "by their fruit you will know them". If you have been hurt in a church--blame the person/people--not God. He loves you and hates what they did--and they will answer for it someday.

There are a vast number of churches--some are evil--some are true. You can tell the true ones by how they love God first, and then their neighbors. Christ taught to even love your enemies. If killing or torture is going on--those people do not know God at all--(no matter what they say)and will come into His judgement. Anyone hurting a child is also especially in danger of judgement by God. What church are you attending which preaches hate? Then it is not of God.

@biologos101 Yes. I understand your rage. I have it too. I get worse when I go to church. Politics is always a way out for religion to avoid the weightier matters of faith. Little is told of archaeology and church history. Unless it is some partial cut from the "news" embellished to elevate their corporate interests. To them the Bible is a minor issue. What counts is maintaining the lunacy of their wonderful belief systems that do not even really elevate the Christ they claim to know.

@jujujoyseeker You are again, spouting a hope within yourself. You are instructing again. People like you just love to instruct, teach and hope to God that what they are saying is not true. I do not know if the Bible is the total Word of God. I trust it. But I have serious questions as to what really came down at the Counicl of Nicea 321 AD When despots and killers decided what books were of "God". I have prayed to God, and I have cried out to Jesus about this. No clear answer yet.

Yet He is the one who created you, and put you on the earth. Why would He create you unless it was out of love? There is evil--certainly-but it does not come from Him--it is a different source.

You still don't get it. It is your God that I hate, not just your Christians. Your God is a homophobic, Jealous, murderous (Killing men, women children and babies many many times) God that doesn't deserve my worship.
