@WretchedDrake I always thought my Afghan, Uncle Joe, was stand-offish, but later on I realized that he just wasn't too bright.... but what a sweetheart.

@guarpopo Yeah in my life I've lived with 2 Afghan Hounds. They are kind of dumb I think (my mom likes to say they're INDEPENDENT as an excuse), but they are very loving and sweet dogs.

@bjsh55 You should check your spelling before judging others' intelligence. The study that was done was not a very good one. They did not take into account what each breed was bred to do. Afghan hounds are smart. They are independent and will not blindly do everything you ask of it. The breeds that will do everything you ask of them may jump off a cliff on command, but if Afghan hounds could talk, they'd say, "You go first".
