Because shes fucked in the head. Shes the girl who always finds something to be suicidal about. Something that maybe if she opened her mouth and put off a little more charisma with people, she then would maybe get somewhere and have friends and a boyfriend even. Shes not ugly not my type but alot of guys would want her. People will hang around not ever talk to people or say anything there thinking have any POV what so ever. Then they get mad at other people because there a social failure.

i just assumed cause she feels shes always over looked people dont see her as a close friend, which is probably her characters own fault because she is like a social cripple (aka a real strange girl).
Probably has alot going on in her head and gets away cause she wishes she had someone to be close with but she is just always the friend in the background people forget about so she just leaves and thinks no one cares or notices.
Thats my interpretation of her and the scenes where she just leaves
