The Castaway Fishing Harness is designed to be used by able-bodied or disabled fishermen or women on casting reels that are fitted with locking lugs. It is not designed to be used with a spinning reel. The sturdy polypropylene webbing is great for outdoor use in that it has excellent UV protection and does not absorb water, giving it resistance to mildew and rot. The clips are made of bronze and are suited for the locking lugs of a big game reel. This harness comes in two sizes: Standard Adult, which fits most, and XL Adult.
The Castaway Rod Holder is constructed of high quality aluminum and is powder coated for durability and padded for comfort. The tube angle can be adjusted up or down. It was designed to be used with saltwater bait casting reels that have locking lugs and a rod clamp.
This rod holder was designed with the seated fisherman or woman in mind and works best when the rod handle has been shortened so that the rod clamp slides into the curves of the rod support. Some minor modifications may have to be made to your rod clamp. A 1 1/8 to 1 1/4 inch rod handle is required. For those who have a need for a power assist on their fishing reel, we recommend the Elec-Tra-Mate products.
