  • im sorry that this happened too you. this should never have happened to anyone female circumcision is still happening in the US. doctors are doing this to both male and female babies and children in the US. im a guy i still remember my circumcision i was 4 when it was done to me. it has given me nightmares for my whole life. im so angry that it was done to me.

i think that the doctors that do circumcisions (male and female) need to be severely punished.

  • Read Patricia's book for an eye opening account of genital cutting of girls in the USA.

  • @markmywords - Perhaps those who oppose sexual pleasure and comfort, find pleasure in judging others and comfort in feeling superior.

I am sorry that anyone ever experiences loneliness... yet it is rampant. Some call it "depression"; others simply die of despair, others rail at it. I no longer carry that burden. But it ran my life for many years because I felt there was no one I could trust. I think many who have been circumcised think like that. They feel betrayed and do not trust others.

  • @markmywords53 The idea that "sexual chastity before marriage" is so important that little girls (and boys) must have parts of their genitals cut off to preserve it is so outlandish that if falls of the edge into psychopathology - sociopathology if a whole society adopts it - as mad as Ghana imprisoning thousands of women and children for witchcraft. Read Patricia's book - "the procedure" didn't "cure" anything and nearly wrecked her life.

  • @RapeOfInnocence The addiction I'm referring to is masturbation, or self-abuse as some prefer to call it.

Those who advocate celibacy before marriage and fidelity within it also oppose masturbation because they recognise that abstinence is the best policy, rather than allowing people to give in to their lustful temptations in solitary activity, which could lead to them also exploring the same with other people in due course.

I'm sorry for your loneliness, I really am.

  • @markmywords53 - Sorry, but i do not know what "addiction" you are referring to? My excruciating loneliness?

In response to your question - What if those who advocate celibacy before marriage and fidelity in marriage were to realize that what we need to self-comfort and self-pleasure has been provided by nature and that to remove what nature has given us makes us susceptible to loneliness, sexual frustration, premarital and extramarital dalliances? altering nature's design ruins human lives.

  • @RapeOfInnocence What if those who advocated (and still advocate, in cultures other than the Western secular one) sexual chastity before marriage are right, and therefore circumcising women and girls to cure them of masturbation is a sensible precaution, and in their best interests? I don't know how bad your addiction was, but presumably the procedure cured it, and you have gone on to have a normal life. The clitoral orgasm isn't everything, you know.

  • @xexixk - Oh, yes, i remember now. I'm so sorry for not remembering that. MMW was SERIOUS about that idea, wasn't he... "Need to keep those kids IN LINE!!! - NO TOUCHING ALLOWED!!! - OFF with their genitals!!!" He and my mother would have gotten along well. :)

  • @RapeOfInnocence My point is that the person I was responding to was defending the practice and stated that as justification for it. I've looked at this person's comments elsewhere and they have posted comments on other videos defending the practice as well. His defense of it and attempts to justify it is what I am referring to as "crazy."

  • @xexixk - no need to call anyone crazy simply because they say something unknown to you. i have no idea who you are or what century you are from, but yes, they used to circumcise children for touching themselves. i was circumcised for touching myself in the 1950s. read my book. read your history. the theory was that masturbation caused all forms of illness... mental, physical, etc... read up on it. the rest of the information in your comment is correct and acceptable.

  • @markmywords53 Circumcision b/c a child might be touching themselves? Are you crazy? What century are you from? As for men, the majority of men in the world are uncircumcised and are not suffering because of it. Virtually all medical organizations in the western world state that there is no medical reason for routine infant circumcision.

  • markmywords, i'm sorry you were hurt like that. children are not fools... they say 'no!' to circumcision. i do not see circumcision as an expression of integrity but as deep misunderstanding of nature and of human bodies, minds and souls. i am sure you and your wife are very charming people, but trauma binds us to childhood programming. circumcision teaches us to not question authority, to not think logically or lovingly. It teaches abuse. time to grow up and begin to ask questions, mark.
