This is official, declassified footage on the JSF F-35's demonstration test, called Mission-X.
Also, it says "X-35" on the title because all experimental military planes are given the designation "X" plus their model number.

The JSF is scheduled to enter service in the United States military by late 2007 staring first with the F-35B for the Marine Corps. Other versions will come in succesion for the Navy and Air Force and will be available as far as I know to the U.K.

F-35 is an excellent strike aircraft and a fair fighter. the F-22 is excellent for air superiority fighter. If Leon Panetta wants to make himself useful, force all services to use the F-35B version and spend the left over money save by producing one type o fighter on more F-22 raptors.

@diveplane Robert Gates is an idiot who knows nothing about airplanes. the 22 has better stealth capability than most other airplanes in the world, and the F35 does not. It is advanced and all, but the F22 would probably be more useful in a real war.

They havent been canned, they just dont need anymore then they have right now because of its ability to win a dog fight even in an uneven match.. And there are not any dog fights going on right now so why would they build more.. Our other jets are doing fine.. They are trying to pass a Bill to build more by the way, so there definatly not canned...

Su-37 and Su-47 fans say this 2 jets av advantage..fucken idiots..all those plane got are maneuverability,f-22 n f-35 gonna av better radar,avionics n bvr capability than su37 n 47 if its comes out,so good luck getting close to f22 n f35 laddies,also f22 looks like it can do those maneuvers too,so f22 is the total package,su37 n 47 are air shows awesome,when it comes to high tech stuff,yanks always do better,dont say su47 gonna be good..lol..f22 n f35 can be upgraded to meet future threats..
