@qwertqwe There are many kinds of martial arts, tea kwon do, though it is a self defensive art, is not the most effective combat system. If you just want to defend yourself look for a simpler combative style like Muay Thai. Muay thai generally requires less flexibility and it pretty much a direct style using knees and elbows. I love teakwondo myself and still practice it but I wouldnt use just teakwondo techs in a real self defensive situation.

@ricktsdmdk are you hurt? You know, I always see a the same reason for people to learn martial arts...they feel inadequate

@GunYou1 Perhaps this is a good time to end this discussion, since you are more intent on acting as a fool than providing information. A quick summary.....you come here, unsolicited, and make suggestions on a topic you don't know anything about, then reosrt to name calling. I think it is funny that when your points were invalidated you resorted to ad hoc attacks. That is a sure sign of feeling inadequate, when you can't argue your own viewpoint any further. Enjoy your Mom's basement

@ricktsdmdk sorry for being rude. I'm just saying there was no reason to go on the defensive and that if you really want a neutral opinion you should consult a doctor. Never said I was one. The neck is something I generally leave the hell alone- I do not see chiropractors, I have NEVER popped my neck, never let someone walk on my spine. It would concern me to see my kid stretching his neck like that. Anyway it's irrelevant until you ask a professional

@GunYou1 so your basic thought here is, you don't know anything about anything, and you are going to question me about an exercise I have been doing safely for over 35 years? Always good to hear from people who have no expertise but want to criticize others. OK, enough said. Have a great day.

I would ask a doctor, unless you happen to be both? lol

@GunYou1 and you got your MD where? You have failed to provide your credentials or expertise of any sort. You have failed to provide information related to the "neck thing" - what it is or what you perceive to be wrong. In other words, you have failed.
