  • toro makes great decks but, tecumseh makes shit engines. toro+tecumseh=barely usable mower, toro + briggs =kick ass mower!!

  • Actually this one's quite reliable, believe it or not o_o

  • Orange +Gas=BAD GAS

  • Actually it's mixed gas lol.

  • i've got the same mower, only rear-wheel-drive, it's a 2005. i wash it after every use and change the oil ridiculously often, and the damn thing's wheel fell off. 1991 briggs powered john deere ftw.

  • It don't lak cho' extra-care :D

  • @gokartbuyer Never commented on the type of internal parts being used. My brother in law has a Scotts mower from 2001 I believe with a Briggs Intek and a Honda OHC mower from about 2005. Both are good. I just remember back when using the old B&S engines with the Pulsajet carbs that are mounted on the fuel tank on the 3.5-4 HP engines...those things regularly gave me issues with starting. I was glad when B&S finally joined the world of using carbs with float bowls like Honda, Toro was using.

  • @bearcat2842 open up one of those inteks. They are starting to used cheaper parts now(plastic). I have two new briggs, they both start up well. The one on my mower is an 09`,you know where you put the single bolt to put the air cleaner assembly back together?Well the screw hole is metal pressed in plastic.I was screwing the assembly back together and the hole for the screw seperated from the plastic. had to buy a new aircleaner assembly.I miss my older briggs.I have always had great luck with them

  • @gokartbuyer I couldn't stand the old B&S ones but the newer ones like the Intek or Quantum are pretty good...start on the 1st or 2nd pull. I hated the old B&S with the carb mounted on the gas tank, which was usually on the 3.5 or 4 HP engines. Those darn things were never very reliable and I was glad when B&S finally went to using carbs with a float bowl that were mounted to the engine.

  • @bearcat2842 i am starting to dislike briggs and stratton actually. their qualitly has dropped to the point of i will not buy new ones. i will only buy the older ones now.

  • @gokartbuyer Tecumseh engines are about on par with B&S engines based on my experiences with the two. However, the best engine put on the Toro was the Suzuki one.

  • where do u get reasonably priced toro parts?

  • i got a toro like that but rear wheel drive with personal pace. i got it for free from a guy that side it needed gaskets. it runs great for free.

  • @briggsandclones OH...didn't know that. Pologize!

  • @briggsandclones sure did take you a while to start it. my briggs on toro sat the whole winter last year and started on the first pull and saved more gas than the honda ohv i had and the ohv are famous for gas saving .and i get my lawn done twice as fast.
