Excessive vibrato (not awful, but still too much) and a general lack of confidence or so it seems. Compare to Ponselle or Callas and you can see what I mean.

too much scuro and the vibrato is too slow. and i hate seeing her live. so ugly she scares me.

Hahahaha I have nothing to be jealous about or to want to emulate. What on earth makes you think that I am a singer!!! I am a musician but not a singer. And I hardly think singing in a few provincial US cities plus a couple of roles at the Met (whose standards are no longer what they should be) constitutes "all over the world".

thomastrnwc, no, morbid obesity does NOT help you sing better (or Ms. Meade would be a great singer....); it's true that it is not a good idea to be thin as a professional singer, but tons of flesh is neither helpful nor necessary.
sevoflurane, well, yes, bel canto singers ornament recaps, but they do it with taste. Ms. Meade does hideous unstylistic 'ornaments' which , moreover, are badly out of tune

Is your own taste the measure that ALL singers should be judged!!! hahahahaha... come on, don't write such stupid comments. The ornaments are not "unstylistic" as you put it, they are actually very much within the style of vocal decoration used in the 1830's. Look over some of the ornaments that were composed for specific singers such as Cinti-Damoreau
