  • It's not a travel actually, if any of you idiots know anything about basketball. You get a two step gather if you receive the ball while you are moving. He took two steps and then used his right foot as a pivot. Have you guys ever seen fast breaks where they take couple steps after they catch a pass before dribbling when they're running down the court 15 MPH. That applies to what you just saw, he was moving when he received the pass, so he gets a two step gather.

  • he moved both feet!!

  • travel

  • @hgivens07 That's a travel. I am a big fan of Wade, but first of all, he took 3 steps, not 2. His second step was to left foot - which should be than his pivot, but after the fake he moves it. (Also it looks like he moves the right aswell.)

  • are you fuckin retarded?!? you ca only mae oe step considering u catch the ball on the left foot(for example) and u can only move the right coz the left one is the pivot foot ad u cannot lift it before you dribble Lol

  • @hgivens07 okay so he gets those 2 steps..what about steps 3, 4, and 5?

  • If you look closely, you can see that lebron traveled.

  • @chitownref “The NBA has put into writing a rule allowing players on the move to gather the ball, after driving or catching it, and then take two steps.”

there it is, 2 steps after the catch, its in the rule book.

and i know that this video is a travel, i can see that, but thats not what im arguing about

  • @springwaterization Show me where in any rule book where it says that? Don't bother because it doesn't. Second, once you establish a pivot foot you MUST start your dribble before lifting your pivot foot off the floor, that is in every rule book from HS to the NBA. Now you MAY lift your pivot footto attempt a shot or pass but once you lift your pivot you may NOT start a dribble PERIOD! So in this video a travel should have been called when, AFTER THE CATCH, he moved both feet and then dribbled.

  • @chitownref no your fucking stupid, 2 steps after the catch is allowed and is in the rule book.

but this is clearly more than 2 steps.

  • @hgivens07 Agreeeeed
