Atui is the third largest island in the Cook Islands. Captain Cook was the first European to sight the island on the 31st March, 1777.

Atiu is known as Enuamanu...which means land of the birds, how appropriate it is that there are more species living on Atiu than on any of the other island, and they include some of the world's rarest.
