  • Is this a religious song?

  • @Soehnle29: This is not a religious song. Written by Kazufumi Miyazawa, the lead singer of the band - The Boom, this song has been covered by many artists, including Gackt. This song is associated with the stories and memories of Okinawa during the World War II.

  • Listen up! We Japanese people!

  • Gackt

  • just wanted to comment that The Boom is not Okinawan but they are Okinawan influenced and that Gackt is Okinawan raised in Japan so it's kind of ironic... unfortunately I don't keep up with Okinawan musicians so I can't name those in the video other than one of the female singers is from Nenes. In the intro, the ladies are singing a bit from "Tinsagu Nu Hana", a very famous Okinawan folk song. The guy playing sanshin however is Sadao China, as is noted on the credits.
