ADAM COOLEY (of Scissor Shock/Robe.)'s "Currently Untitled", his 8th major work, should be out just in time for the summer. This film follows in the tradition of such classics as 8 1/2, Beware the Holy Whore, and pretty much every Godard film... it's about making a film which can't be made, in this case a completely no-budget film. Actors who, no surprisingly, don't want to act for free. People who don't want to give up their locations to allow you to film in them. Completely no-budget, as usual, and done in a guerilla filmmaking style.. you will witness a flock of geese fly out of the water onto the shore, time-lapse shots of snow melting, the entire process of a painting done with spit and paint and vomit in stop-motion, palm trees growing in the snow, the world's largest chair, cameos by god, a piano played in the middle of a factory, the disintegration of a relationship, animated segments, and plenty of musical numbers. Won't be appreciated until long after I'm dead, probably.
