  • Why you knocking each tile out with a screwdriver & hammer ??? Dude, cut the sheetrock just outsuuide the tile line & pull the damn wall WITH the tile, it's gotta come out ANYWAY...and 10:30 to 1:30 to take out 3 walls and a tub, damn, you make a better hunter of hogs than a renovator, LOL !

  • @StarrTile why so harsh? I did take the walls down with the tile. Like I said, I've never done this before.. and I'ld rather do it myself than pay someone.

  • No gloves, no safety glasses??? BTW, my tubs are both 55 years old and are in GREAT shape...so is the tile. Still gonna remodel one bathroom though, water is leaking from the window! Good job.

  • @amylchapman who needs gloves? the glasses woulda been a good idea, thanks!

  • was wasn't there plastic water barrier lapped over the top of the shower pan and silicone caulked into place? Plus there was no green board or concrete board. Do it once do it right

  • @HighSerrias You mean before I did the work? There were no building codes when they built this house, the upper floor only had one 2x4 in the corner joist. Even today, they lay tile strait on the sheetrock!

  • @DallasBrickRepair I drug my ass, took just over a year!

  • Awesome video, I have wanted to tackle the guest bathroom in my home but have not yet got the courage to get started. I guess I am afraid I may never finish if I get started.

  • @jrdnyoung It turns out to be only half the problem, maybe 1/4. LOL, watch on!

  • @ChildEmo96 You could do your own custom floor pan. They line the floor and 1 foot up the wall with rubber sheet. Then cement over it, adding a footing ledge at the front opening. After that you just do your tile, custom seat and all that. Make the shower any size and shape.. Why buy a fiberglss pan when you can raise the value for the same price almost?
