    That's true.I feel like Alonso was a crisper, more bravura type dancer, who excelled in roles like Odile and Kitri (but was still pretty good at softer roles like Odette and Giselle), and that Ulanova was the other way around (softer and more billowy than the sharper, fearless Alonso.

    Absurd for you maybe. Alicia Alonso is great but Galina Ulanova was better. Everyone has their preference.
