08 silverado borla catback exhaust

2008 silverado vortec max 6.0L exhaust....
start up, rev, idle....

setup: borla cat-back system, removed the muffler and replaced it with a Y pipe. the borla tips are honeycombed so the sound is muffled down some.

i had the dealership do it since other stuff was being done to the truck it made things easier.... but ive redone it since then.... just go to where you got it from and talk to the aftermarket people they should do be able to do it

Would it really sound different or affect the peformace if I had this same system in my moms truck but just kept the straight pipe instead of a y pipe?

Exhaust sounds good BUT your truck is NOT an SS. Why would you put an SS badge on a 4x4?....That's gay.

Sounds great, had Borla on two 97 fbody's, of course it sounded much better on the LT1s than the LSxx (stock to stock), the cast iron blocked LTxx just had a deeper tone. Just bought a 2008 silverado 1500 z71 4x4 shortbox crew cab w/5.3L and am itching to mod something on it. Have you done anything else to your engine? This is stock right, no cam, headers, etc?
