Kyevan-Rus is ancient Ukraine and the capital of Ukraine is Kyiv, not Kiev (that's the Russian spelling and Ukraine is not Russia). Moscow is the capital of Russia. Vladimir the Great brought Christianity into Kyevan Rus kingdom.

I don't disagree that at one time maybe they were united, but because of the fighting the princes went ahead and founded the Muskovite empire--you do know that it existed, no? Kraina means borderland and that's all Ukraine wanted -- it's own borders. Lithuania could claim Ukraine too...they ruled for a long time. So open your mind a little--is Ukraine not allowed to want its own country?

@watcherwatcher2 We also have Ukrainian Pravda. Explain to me why the capital of as you say "Ancient Russia" is Moscow...is it not because it was the Muskovite Empire--a separate kingdom from Kievan-Rus.
