  • Can someone please to me what that neckstrap the 1st tenor has.

  • @bsolano94 This is John Murphy. I asked Brian Clancy, the tenor soloist on "Yesterdays". He replied: "Oleg brand. It is the standard strap; they also make one with a wider spread for the back of your neck. They make one that says it is a harness but it's not great quality."

  • was that tenor solo all improv or was it a written solo? it was just a beautiful solo.

  • @jazzsk8ter It was improvised.

  • @GMak79051 Thanks for listening. We read all of the comments and appreciate everybody who is listening and making comments. We're limited on how much feedback we can send by the need to do things like teach classes and rehearse ensembles. Our YouTube viewers and listeners are very important to us.

Stay tuned for news about our online store, which is being tested now. You will be able to order CDs and buy downloads.

  • I like the Drummers Banana on the stand......Thats hot

  • This has been one of my favorite "Kenton band/Holman" arrangements since I was a high school student in the fifties. I believe Bill Perkins did that first tenor solo/part. These guys made chills go all over me. Such memories.... Gives me hope. Keep it up.
