This is the best story / example I've heard regarding how far can someone turn from God - too far, too late??

  • I do not follow elsewherebeats1? Please advise...

  • im afraid this has happened to me except i already had given my heart to Christ but have backslidden i dont always feel the same draw to God sometimes i do. I hate who i've become

  • Wo - let me tell you what, I backslid SO many times since I was saved at the tender age of 16. Don't listen to the enemy's lies - Jesus did it all, all you have to do is forgive you - then turn your life over to HIM, He is just waiting for you to ask HIM back in, open the door to your life and let go of that heavy burden you've been carrying around. If you want to talk further - I'm here :-)

  • The truth is frightening

It is never to late to give yourself to the Lord.

    God Bless

  • for it is appointed unto men to die once ...and after that the judgment. i thank GOD for preachers like adrian rogers who had the gumption to tell us the truth we needed to hear..though we do not want to hear it...may you rest in peace pastor.

  • @asatruviking for your sake you better hope so

  • @rlayt1 if the only reason you said yes to God was becouse you dont want to go to hell that does not save you one bit its the holy spirit inside you that makes you saved . im sure judas was terrified of hell to but he still went there.

  • Imagine your neighbor claiming to love his children, then getting so angry over their very 1st offense, he tortures them forever in his basement.

Even imagine a neighbor torturing dogs born with a "bark" nature after he, without a bark nature, deems barking impermissible. What a joke of a god. What ever action is unavoidable cannot be culpable.

Had "holy" Jesus had children, do think he would have eternally tortured them for being "unholy"?

You're perverted the notions of love and justice.

  • @rlayt1

You're right. The bible will lead you to truth. I've read the NT eleven times in greek. I advise you to do the same. Read it in its entirety, not just the warm fuzzy parts.

Did you know the bible clearly says that we receive a sin nature we did not ask for, then upon every child's very 1st sin, are deemed deserving of eternal torment? I'm not kidding. Then this very same god claims in John 3:16 to love those same children. I'm not joking. That's what it says.

    Read your bible.

  • @philstilwell Hello, The problem is some people do not have God's spirit in their life. Do you read the bible? Do you understand that God says work our your salvation in fear & trembling? Do you or have you studied the life of Moses and how God worked through him to save his people? Why don't you make an honest investigation and see what God's word says. The truth is, it was fear that initially that led me to christ because God's word shows me I was dead to sin & hell with out Jesus.

  • What is the name of this sermon?

  • paul was not joking when he said fight the good FIGHT...i understand why Jesus said the path to life is narrow but thank God that when we surrender he supplies ALL our needs. It has been tough for me but I had to learn to surrender and God is breaking me and molding me. I drift away sometimes when I'm overwhelmed by dark feelings but it is SO important to renew our minds in Christ and to not conform to this world. The lord said I come quickly, make sure noone steals your crown.

  • lol @ think for yourselves...we did...we realized how lost we were without God and we cried out to him and he saved us and transformed us. We are not messing with religion here, trust me...there is a realm more tangible than what we can see and feel. It's not all about us.

  • @apokalupsis27 I also thank GOD for sending Adrian Rogers. I thank God for Truth and I thank GOD for Jesus. May Dr. Adrian Rogers' words be heard for eternity.
