Why am I spending as much as I do ranting about all the quack stuff out there? Energy healing, chiropractors, psychics, astrology, and so on. When did it start and how?
I'm debunking people's idiocy all the time. Currently, I'm tacking homeopathy. Holy crap the lunatics that push this stuff. They're either completely and utterly delusional or else they're complete crook con artists feeding this scam industry.
I'm finding people that (say that) happily treat 3 year olds with pneumonia with homeopathic "treatments". Un-freaking-believable.
My favorite of this "new" age, "ancient knowledge" mysticism crap is the I-Ching...
Flipping a coin can predict the future! Though, it gets worse... You can do it with coins, but it's recommended by "experts" that you use these wooden sticks.
Why shouldn't we spend as much time as we do out complaining about this crap? It causes harm. Even the more harmless subjects cause harm. The I-Ching causes harm, because people are out there consulting twigs for how they will make decisions...
@gramblor1 (cont)... I can't blame someone whose fed up with real medicine, who looks elsewhere for relief. That's what I did. Of course, it didn't take long for me to realize that chiropractic was nonsense. Today I practice a method for improving posture called The Egoscue Method. I've struggled for quite some time now, but haven't given up. The method claims to end chronic pain with exercises focused on strengthening postural muscles compromised by lack of adequate motion (cont)...
I'll definitely check out that chiropractor video in your favorites. I think a lot of these "bright" people who get roped into alternative medicine are legitimately suffering from chronic pain and other symptoms of poor health that doctors can't fix and maybe can't even diagnose. If you have back problems, You're probably screwed. If worse comes to worst, you may get a back operation that results in even worse pain than you had before. That's where chiropractors step in.... (cont.)

You mean you've never drummed and danced in the woods?
Never done a vision quest?
Never went skinny dipping?
Never walked around an open market on a beautiful day, naked as a jaybird, with a few hundred likewise attired folk, niether judging nor being judged?
tsk tsk tsk; You poor deprived man. ;-)
