I used to go see the UM Concert Jazz Band back in the late 70's to early 80's. Whit Sidener had the swingin'est band around!! Everybody from Jeff Kirk, Jeff Kievet(sp?), to Steve Rucker, Ed Calle, the list goes on and on... Not to mention his sessions with The Bee Gees at Criteria Studios with Karl Richardson and Alhby Galuten. Those were the days... Thanks Whit, for some incredible music over the years, you were an inspiration and mentor to many students. You won't be forgotten. God bless...
