I miss you so much Bernard. It wasn't your time. You forever live in my memory everytime that I sing. Thank you for the inspiration to get over my shyness. Thank you for being the best music teacher, person, and soul to me and I'm sure to MANY other people. Thank you.
He was the principal of da Vinci Arts Middle School the year before his passing. We only had him for half a year...but...him and I and many of his students became close. Rest In Peace, Mr. Havard. You are missed, and loved. Best wishes to wherever your soul roams now. You changed my life forever.
My Freshman and Sophomore years were the best at Madison. I loved being in the concert choir. I would look forward to lunch being over just so I could get to choir, and I remember his standard chord on the piano to get everyone to quiet down so we could begin. I remember having a few tears when he left Madison, and I remember crying when I found out about him passing away. May God bless you Mr. Harvard, I will never forget you.
Absolutely beautiful!!! I went to high school with Bernard and went through all of the music program - from concert choir to music theory - with him. He is missed.

I was at Alameda and Mr.Harvard always teased my mom about the yankees losing. I miss him.
