Here we have the other half of my races from the previous video. I seem to be more than a little gung-ho with my boosting items, but it doesn't help matters that I get a whole lot of Golden Mushrooms sometimes.

I also have a bad habit of driving..."creatively" when I fall behind, and I tend to throw caution to the wind. An interesting theory indeed when you're pretty much expecting to get hit with stuff, but it also tends to get you into trouble when you're on courses with limited driving space, like Rainbow Road.

For the curious, Matsuda is a Mii I made after the Death Note character. He's my favorite and he actually seems like one of the few characters on the cast who might enjoy Mario Kart. Well, I'm sure Ryuk would get a kick out of it, but I'm no good at making inhuman Miis within the confines of the set pieces you get to work with.

  • Believe it or not, this kind of pummeling is actually very commonplace for me...far more commonplace than a match that runs smoothly. The ones like Koopa Cape are soul-crushing. Most other times, I'm used to it...

At any rate, my Rainbow Road was absolutely atrocious, even by my standards, because I was trying to "creatively" regain some lost ground...and in my somewhat rattled state, I will admit that most of them don't actually make a lot of sense.

  • Oh..I didn't realize the pummeling I gave you at the end with the Lightning. Regardless of it, though..I was still unable to catch up. I had first most of the first lap, then was pummeled right afterwards. But the second lap gave me time to recover, so I didn't have it as bad as you did..

  • Wow, a stolen victory for everyone at Koopa Cape. I see you in 1st for the Final Lap, then it's a pummeling and a robbery of your last Item.

I'd also advise never to use any boost item while on the quarterpipe before the jump to the section with the holes. I learned the hard way that it just sends you off the course.
