That is moronic to say that it is "unpatriotic" for residents of a city to object to extremely loud and unneeded military exhibitions. Unfortunately Chris Daly does not exactly make the best spokesman for this position though, and comes off as kind of a crank.

One mission of the military is for active recruitment to ensure each branch meets goals. We have an all volunteer service. If the military does not actively recruit, and fails to meet goals, than tax money is wasted on organizations that cannot accomplish their missions. And before you say it, although Iraq was a mess (and Afghanistan has become one), at no point have we LOST an engagement, in either. Not having these displays would be a disservice to the majority that want to see hardware.

They fly right over downtown S.F., right over my building at a low altitude. It's very unpleasant. They should fly out on the Bay or over an airfield.
