thumbs up if you didn't managed to get ubuntu working in your pc or laptop

@aloneguid I just got ubuntu on the side of Windows 7 for most of my internet browsing, I don't even keep anything but pictures in it since if I want to listen to music I just plug my ipod into my stereo and all I devoted was 12 GB of HD space to it. There is such so many viruses for windows now that just using it for primary web surfing is dangerous. I just got my pc fixed from a rouge antivirus that randomly attacked it on Christmas day and I decided to get Ubuntu.

@calcionit Nonsense :) Apart from making you look "cooler" (questionable) Linux does not deliver on desktop. I do development on both platform and classic Linux is just a plain pain in the ass when in comes to desktop. Yes it sounds strange, but the latest Windows releases outperform linux in security and performance. I personally use Linux on desktop only because it's easier for the job I do, not because it's better.

@aloneguid A tipical answer like "excuses". Always people says it. Linux has less viruses because it's very difficult play it on Linux. Linux is best SO from desktop than Win.
-
@aloneguid I migrated to debian and arch. Ubuntu became too bloated :/

I think you could focus more on what Ubuntu has to offer, instead of focusing on what's wrong with Windows. In this case, I mean the software center or Synaptic (the latter is way better imo) as a tool that gathers most of the programs you might ever need, taking off the risk of downloading things from untrusted sources.

Why don't you try to open with Wine??

These "clever" videos make me think of migrating from Ubuntu to another distro.

Windows viruses don't work on Linux, very true, why would they. Linux viruses don't work on windows. Linux has less viruses because no one bothers creating desktop software for Linux. Linux is not a desktop os
Good idea - well done! I really appreciate that work. I'd only wonder whether this ad makes is really clear that there are no viruses, Windows users may not understand the irony behind that blue screen, and think such crash can happen.

@rafalcieslak256 You have a point, but I think 99% of all windows users have actually met the blue screen of death. Anyway, I'd like you to give me some ideas to make this ad better.
