The True Face of the Tea Partiers (Part 1)

On April 15, 2010, I attended my first Tea Party Rally in Grand Prairie, Texas (between Dallas and Ft. Worth).

I came with video camera in hand, to answer one simple question:

Are tea partiers, as politicians and the media have suggested, a bunch or racists, rednecks, and violence-prone malcontents?

Or are they ordinary American citizens, dissatisfied with Washington, exercising their right to free speech, peaceful assembly and redress of grievances?

(Side note: I got there late, it rained during the rally, and the field fairly cleared for a short time. Crowd estimated at 18,000 total).

The real question is, where the heck were all these "patriots" when the past administration actually took away our constitutional rights, you know, the PATRIOT ACT!!!! remember that sheeple? why are none of these tea partiers fighting to over turn the patriot act and give the american ppl back their 4th and 6th amendment rights? I bet if Bush looked non-white we would have heard of this tea party way back then and may have never lost those right. Wake UP PPL, REPEAL THE PATRIOT ACT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not quite sure which definition of fairweather you are using but if the constitution was meant to be written in stone then there would not be amendments. Which are considered a "CHANGE" to the constitution. I think that speaks for itself.

Exactly what gives you (or I) status of "deserving" something? Is it because you happen to be born in this country that you deserve the rights of the constitution over some1 born elsewhere?

Your example of Joe Biden's use of strong words was not what i was implying. Also, critical thinking skills are not simply "thinking outside the box," go do some research
