Construction of the new Russian-owned sports complex at the Vanderbilt Railyards. Construction of the new Russian-owned sports arena subsidized by NY taxpayers. The developer is getting hundreds of millions of dollars of subsidies and is promising hundreds of thousands of dollars of benefits. He won't spare a dime if we don't watch him like a hawk.

  • Nice video, its great they are making cheap homes with the arena !

  • @200damary You bring up a good point: Ratner has destroyed more affordable housing than he is creating. His definition of "cheap" apartments is rent of $2,800 a month. I'm all for affordable housing, which is why i oppose this project.

Ratner faces no real penalties when he fails to live up to his promises. If he's going to give anything back after getting hundreds of millions of dollars of subsidies, it's because the community will have to watch him like a hawk.

  • @raulism He will have some affordable housing, some will be high. That's just how it works. He can't have all the apartments cheap, This is good for all kinds of people. Also we need jobs, so this will help alot for brooklyn!
