  • What are your influences? what music do you listen to? composers?

  • primarily Bach and Chopin, but also Philip Glass, Yann Tiersen, Mendelssohn, Liszt, Zbigniew Preisner, and a whole lot more.., I usually listen to specific compositions of these composers (i have a very specific taste) :P

  • sweet man :) I don't like bach and chopin so much but i do like Tiersen, glass, Preisner, haven't heard much of the others but i'm gonna check it out =)

I also like Ravel, Wojciech Kilar, Angelo Badalamenti, some arvo pärt also =)

Could you maybe tell me some more composers you like? =) and maybe som pices? If you want to :P

  • Cool, I didn't know Wojciech Kilar, just listened to his Vocalise, very impressive.

Ok, besides all Bach's fugues for organ a few compositions that come to mind:

Schubert - Piano Trio in E flat (op.100) or his Unfinished Symphony,

    Saint-Saints - piano concerto 2 in g minor op 22 (1st mvmt.),

    Mozart - piano concerto no.23 & 24, (..),

Liszt - La Campanella, Liszt - Vallée d'Obermann,

    Rachmaninov's "Tchaikovsky - Lullaby " on piano.

  • cool!!! I wish I could compose such beautiful music!!!

  • I'm *really* not just trying to be polite, but I think you already are :)

    Your compositions are beautiful!

  • lovely, i've enjoyed listening to it very much.

  • Hi Ray

I'm really fascinated by your visualization. I am a music masters student and I am doing my dissertation on graphic notation. I'd be really interested to hear how you came to this particular form. I have checked out Stephen Malinowski, great stuff.

    Love the composition too.

  • Beautiful ! Marvelous !

  • anywhere i can download this?

  • This is very nice. 5 stars - cool presentation too. I sometimes write piano music but it all ends up sounding like bad Bach. I wish I knew music theory.

  • gonna check that out =) The soundtrack for "the ninth gate" (good movie also) that kilar composed is really great, atleast that is what i think =)
