Black Legion regiment after few months of fighting on the battlefield returned to Zagreb (Agram). Ante Pavelić saluting the regiment, handshaking with some of the soldiers and then military march was held afterward.

The Crna Legija (Black Legion) was the name given to the 1st and 5th Ustaše Brigades during World War II. The units were named as such due to the fact that their uniforms were coloured black, unlike other Ustaše units. These units drew their recruits largely from survivors of chetnik massacres in Eastern Bosnia and represented the most elite units in the NDH army of the period.[1].

Black Legion:

The Crna Legija unit commanders were Colonel Jure Francetić and Major Rafael Boban . While Boban remained in command of the unit to the very end of the war, Francetić was killed in action in 1942 and was succeeded by Colonel Ivo Stipković and then Major Franjo Sudar. With the loss of its commander, the Legion was broken up. The main body became the I Pokretni Ustaški sdrug (I Mobile Ustaša Brigade), while the Boban Battalion was used to form the cadre for the newly formed V Ustaša Brigade in Podravina. Former members of the Black Legion continued to wear the black uniform right up to the end of the war, probably as a sort of honorary mark of distinction.

  • Nije mnogo drukčije nego u JNA... Osim što mi nismo ganjali cigane, jevreje i komuniste... A ni popovi nisu ulazili u kasarne, osim kao regruti... A i nosili smo crvene petokrake... Inače, slično...

"Uninformed and ignorant? " "Putrid verbal diarrhea?" You insist on advertising yourself, right? :)

Your failure to give a single argument to refute mine is duly noted. Where did I ever stated that I "have an axe to grind" with Croatians? A suggestion: go easy on the Kool-Aid :)

  • @KonradAdenauerJr You're so pathetically uninformed and ignorant that it is laughable. Thank God that you're not influencing anyone's opinion with your putrid verbal diarrhea. If you have an axe to grind with nostalgic supporters of the Ustasa Movement or with Croatians in general, you shouldn't be hiding hiding behind the computer screen in your parent's basement....you should go the source and speak your piece. Bring it...don't sing it ....little man.

To modify the words of John Maynard Kaynes: "I've forgotten more [Ustasha history] than you ever knew, but believe me, I haven't forgotten very much." LOL

I personally know many Croats for whom the Black Legion and the Ustashas are an embarrassment.

"One person's terrorist/villain is another's hero?" Sorry, I don't buy that moral relativism. Would you say the same thing about Al-Qaeda, or Hamas? Is your favoritism of mass murder and terror one of your qualities?

  • @KonradAdenauerJr If you wish render judgment with respect to the Ustasa Movement, then you should really invest far more time and effort into informing yourself about the subject which you seem so very eager to critique. Just keep in mind that one person's terrorist/villain is another's hero. You're obviously not doing a very good job of convincing the people who view this video with your pathetic drivel. Is ignorance one of your finer qualities?

  • @Velebit

At least Avenusus kept the discussion civil. You, on the other hand, have no argument to excuse the despicable Ustasha movement. Why do you Ustasha types obsess so much about death?

I'll pass on your suggestion, but I do recommend that you practice what you preach. LOL

  • @KonradAdenauerJr Why don't you locate the nearest bridge, fill your pockets full of rocks to ensure that you don't screw it up as i'm sure youre prone to do, and take a leap....another well deserved demise for civilization.

  • @ComradeFlorian31 đUbre četničko

  • @Avenusus

The German report about the incident mentioned that an MP battalion attached to (or part of) the 718th Division carried out the operation. I don't remember the exact date of the aforementioned report, so I'm not certain if the action was carried out in the aftermath of the failed "Operation Trio."

  • @KonradAdenauerJr okay then tell me when, where and by wich unit
