  • Every tab I find says that Jimmy uses Fuzz to get that effect. But from personal experience it sounds more like he's using a wah pedal with distortion.

  • he uses fuzz on studio one, live version are made by normal distort guitar or wah wah...

  • best live version ever?

  • ...i prefer 73' and 75' ones,but still a great version...GODS OF ROCK LED ZEPPELIN,i hope you enjoed it,thank u for your comment :)

  • Please combine these three videos, if someone hasn't already :)

  • this show was in the kigdome , and a famous psychic I think it was jane dixon predicted that this show was going to make the dome fall. I was on the 100 level ( ground floor ) during this song when John played the taurus bass pedals the place was shaking so fucking hard I sware everybody looked up at the roof expecting it to fall. afterwards they inspected it and found cracks and banned rock concerts there for many years ,until they repared it . I seen floyd there in 80`s w/o waters

  • @moutazcreativecircle No, he does that theremin bit on all 1977 versions of No Quarter.

  • It's blaringly clear Jimmy messed up with the Thermin ... throwing JPJ off his transition from hammond organ to piano,,, but overall a great performance!

  • The little piece JPJ starts playing @ 7:26 sounds like the piano from Charlie Brown. Not sure whether or not Charlie Brown was out back then as I wasn't even alive.

  • Yeah, although every member here is great, I think they'd all agree that this piece belongs to JPJ. It was the single piece that showcased his piano talents. This is one of my favorite Zep songs to see live.

  • I dont want to point the finger but i just have to say JPJ was born to play this song... i mean its just amazing.

  • It gives you something to describe aswell- "A triumphant Jimmy Page emerged from the thick layer of dry ice- cascading over the frozen stage, taking the song into a new element with steedsman John Bonham driving onwards by his side." Alright that might be a shit description but I came up with that on the spot, to try and illustrate how it transports you. If you get me.

  • MR JOHN PAUL JONES!!
