Alan Amos - one of the few Tory MPs in the north-east even when they had a 100-seat majority. Talking of which, I agree with Blyth Valley Borough Council; surveys like that were/are basically "if a place isn't impeccably middle-class, it's rubbish", and assume that everyone wants the same thing from a town which as we all know is far from the case ...
