Jonnie was a German civilian engineer at AFN Wbg. I was one of the original staff members of AFN Wbg. There were two German engineers working there at the time. They were both great guys! The only thing we lacked at the start was our own indoor bathroom. "Lying Eyes" by the Eagles was good for a "leak," and Iron Butterfly's "Inagoda davida" (sorry for the spelling) was good for a run to the Jag office next door). Later a bathroom was added, thanks, in part, to Iron Butterfly!

Cool.
I was stationed at AFN Wuerzburg 1983-87. Nice to see the video setup- we got it in about 1986- and couldn't figure out where to put it. Looks like you found it a home. Was Jonnie Nieman still there then?

Thanks for the info. I remember Jonnie well.
I guess during The Outlaws "Green Grass and High Tides" you could have run out and had a quick lunch. :-)

Was Jonnie a German National or in the military? I remember a stoudt German Engineer with glasses whose name may have been Jonnie. As you may know, Leighton Barracks closed a few years back.
