Everytime I hear this song, I have mixed emotions... My great aunt wrote this song, but her father was the biggest jerk ever and didn't let her get any credit for it. After he crumpled up the letter and threw it in the fireplace, people got their hands on the music & lyrics. So now I'm happy that people like the song so much, and have great memories. But there's a side of me that hates what happened. I love this song with all my heart, and will treasure it forever! I'm glad ya'll enjoy it! :)

Daddy sang this to me and my sister Aprille when we were little.. but had to sing it twice and change the words... Aprille has blue eyes ; )
