@jadeyes914 See,the same thing happened to me. Almost exactly as you described. But some people, unlike my, or as I see your example, change for the better, learn from their mistakes. James liked Lily and didn't want any "stupid Slytherins" by her side. I understand him, it was a horrific thing to do, but people change, J.K. herself said James cooled down and became better.

@oceanmermaid07 doesn't justify what james did. he's uninteresting, lacks depth, petty, and a jerk. i had a deal with a jealous girl like james all because of a guy. i don't care how nice she was to other people, the fact that she is a small enough person that would bully ANYONE who was lonely will remain. she never genuinely apologized either. james never apologized either. despite all that she did, i would never do what she did to me. snape sought redemption for his actions at least

@jadeyes914 Well, he did that to Snape because he felt he was too close to Lily, who James liked at the time. Plus, Snape was the only person he did those things to.I'm not saying he was good, but he wasn't THAT bad either. Maybe he just changed over time. Maybe Lily wanted to be with him for a while to get back at Snape, but then fell in love with him.

@oceanmermaid07 i would hate james anyway even if he had humiliated someone else to the entire school like he did. no good person does that. i would never do that even to the person i hate the most, and i don't know anyone who would do that. i know some really big jerks too, so that's saying something. i would never forgive someone who'd do that to one of my friends, so i REALLY don't understand why lily chose him. i'm talking to u to enlighten me why.

@jadeyes914 okay sorry, you have your opinion based on your personal experience, and so do I. I don't want to argue here, everyone's entitled to their own opinion. Doesn't mean that mine is right and yours is wrong or vica versa, they're just opinions. Yes, maybe it would be likely that the two of them dated each other for a while and then split up (james&lily), but people change...James was a good person. He just hated Snape. And we hate James for his hatred for Snape,we feel sorry for him :|

@oceanmermaid07 i was one of the more popular prep girls a few times but i never dated one of the more popular guys. know why? because they were obnoxious muscle heads. actually, i have seen a gothic girl with a popular prep guy. i was friends with her. it happens. it also happens that these highschool stereotypes are stupid. preps can be friends and date goths and nerds. my friends and i did all the time. i just wish jkr made lily end up with a better person so i can see WHY she chose him.

@jadeyes914 Of course it's unreal, but it happens all the time. When did you see , for example, some girl who has a darker style and listens to darker music being with a jock who listens to techno? They wouldn't quite understand each other , really. Maybe later on when they grow up, but otherwise, not really. That stuff happens in romantic comedies and movies where people go "awww". Plus, when I said what I said, I forgot to add some more things, so at some point you probably misunderstood me.
