Image Collective will create an embellished landscape made entirely from found objects, gutted house parts and collected artifacts from New Orleans volatile past. The result is an over-the-top burlesque fused art performance.Angela Eve, who lives in both Chicago and New Orleans, has headlined the "Bourbon & Burlesque" festival for the past two years.

The Menagerie's multi-media installation is born out of the long-term photo project "Home That Was" created by Eve and her partner Anastasios Ketsios. The book is a developing collection of work shot in the three and a half years after Hurricane Katrina. The book and installation explores the idea of home and how it relates to identity, memory, strength and the effects of time on a community.

The project began seven days after Katrina hit and has been continuing into the present. Audience members will be able to view the installation and the images a week before the event.

With a distinct attention to detail and symbolism all aspects of the performance will be "found" from around New Orleans. This includes everything from Angela Eve's costume to the street musicians playing during the show. All of Eve's fabrics will be made from handmade materials and contain custom printed textures from water damaged photographs, journals and scrapbooks fused onto her petticoat.

The result can only be described as a post-apocalyptic, post-Katrina vaudevillian peepshow. Filled with grandiose images and music the show will focus on the rebirth of New Orleans culture. Each musician will be given a grouping of photos from the book and will create a musical score based on the pictures. The show will include local acts such as Matthew Coons, Stix Duh Clown and My Grave Yard Jaw.

The installation was created by Eve along with her partner Anastasios Ketsios and several New Orleans craftsmen including set builder Eli Grove and tile artist Nick Hasslock.

Fueled by larger than life coins sold by a barker audience members will put the coins into a slot attached to a custom embellished bike (created by local bike metal artist Soda Pop) propelled by a member of the peepshow. Once inserted into the slot the bike will run, pulling up the curtain and starting the show. Once the stage is set musicians along with Angela Eve and Eve's Parlor dancers will perform a surreal peepshow show ending the event with a grand final act by Eve performing one of her signature aerial burlesque acts.
