We didn't know what to make of the GMC Denali XT Hybrid Concept the first time we saw it, so we asked Warrack Leach, the lead designer on the project, to explain it. He said it's an example of a "recreational vehicle done responsibly," a suspicious-sounding catchphrase if we ever heard one.

No, kid. It was originally called the Henry Ford Company. Cadillac used Ford's Designs until 1910. It's origins were using a Model A. The Term "luxury" wasn't really used until the 20's when Many American automakers such as Ford, GM and Duesenberg made such vehicles. But European vehicles were the orignators. Lincoln wasn't Ford Motor Company's first luxury vehicles. Lincoln had made a Special Edition Zephyr Sieur de Cadillac edition, named after the founder of Detroit.

@SecularTechnology Actually, it was the Cadillac Escalade that was released in response to the Navigator. I think the Denalis came out the same time as the navigators.

@SecularTechnology No, actually Cadillac started in 1902 and was acquired by GM in 1909. Lincoln wasn't started until 1917 and acquired by Ford in '22. So Cadillac, a direct competitor of Lincoln for the domestic luxury car market, was acquired by GM before Lincoln was even born. Get your facts straight before you trash talk.
