NEW YORK -- October 7, 2009. Eight is enough, the War Resisters League said today. Joining Veterans For Peace, the Granny Peace Brigade and the World Can't Wait in a protest marking the eighth anniversary of the Afghanistan War, the WRL marched in Grand Central Station. Previously, the MTA police have allowed banner drops and distribution of fliers but today activists who leafleted were ordered to stop -- and two WRL members were arrested during a banner drop.
This clip captures the arrests. Additional footage will be released as it becomes available.
