@WDB123220 I'm well aware of that. Been driving trucks for 20 years; I was comparing to other wagons.in the early 70's volvo got 240 bhp from only 6.7 litres

@mrspivvy You can't compare this with a car engine...huge displacement and low power means durability and loads of torque, and lorries/busses need that. You could put a twin-turbocharged Toyota (or similar) 2 or 3 liter engine with over 300hp in it, it wouldn't go a-n-y-w-h-e-r-e, just blow the engine.

oh, no turbo, that explains why such a huge capacity v10 only makes 320hp.

There is a lot like this engine in Jordan consists of 10 cylinders and produces 320 hp, but without the turbo and also no such engine but 10 cylinders and 500 hp, but consists of a Double Turbo

No Turbo, 320 HP, almost 18l capacity, V10. Very thirsty but reliable and with a great sound which came mainly from the irregular firing order of the 10 cylinders.
